Yesterday morning, a slew of Noe Valley citizens awakened to discover that their vehicles’ tires had been slashed in a single day with the aid of an unknown suspect or suspects. Hoodline reader John M., who lives within the neighborhood, told Hoodline that over forty cars at the block encompassed by Cesar Chavez, Castro, twenty-sixth, and Noe streets were targeted sometime in the night or early morning. “Police are right here taking reviews,” John M. Stated yesterday.

“Right next to where I normally park, three satisfactory SUVs — BMWs and Mercedes — all had their tires slashed. I was lucky I moved my vehicle for road cleaning multiple blocks away, or I’d be on the tire keep this morning.” SFPD spokesperson Officer Joseph Tomlinson told Hoodline that the branch received its first reports of the slashings around 9:30 a.M. at Castro and Cesar Chavez streets.

Compared to John M.’s discern, Tomlinson stated that he currently had only nine tire-slashing sufferers indexed, with 18 tires slashed. But he noted the range should develop better as greater victims make reviews. None of the cars had been robbed or vandalized beyond the slashed tires. But the field of human beings affected is uncommon, Tomlinson stated.

“We don’t [normally] get reports like this wherein there are so many automobiles affected all at once and in a single region.” There’s no suspect within the case as of but. Police try to study possible video pictures that might have captured the incident “to get any images of the offender, or whoever dedicated the crimes,” Tomlinson introduced.

“We discovered several cameras in that region, so hopefully, we can get an amazing photo.” Neighborhood tipster John M. Expressed surprise at the incident. “Usually, that part of Noe is quite secure,” he explained. “But this is pretty stunning, given the number of automobiles slashed.” Anyone whose automobile becomes affected, or has security footage or other statistics about the incident, can contact SFPD thru the department’s nameless tip line at (415) 575-4444 or text TIP411 with “SFPD” at the start of the message.
